WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
My name is Karen McSpadden. I am new to the Augusta area and recently moved here from California to be closer to my daughter and grandchildren. I design and make dog apparel and accessory items.

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
I love knitting and crocheting simple, colorful unique dog sweaters for the colder weather months. I also sew fun harness jackets, colorful bandanas, useful poop bag holders, one-of-a-kind collars and leashes, cozy dog blankets, and more.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My love for my rescue shelter dog Achillies was what inspired me to begin making dog apparel and accessory items. After making clothes for him, I had many compliments on his clothing and accessory items. This led me to began making dog apparel and accessory items for other pets and their owners as well. I love seeing the happiness and joy it brings to pets and their humans as they enjoy and use the items I make.

My husband and I love the river walking area and going to the Saturday morning farmers market.

WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
It is a great creative outlet for me. I meet new people I would have never known before. I love seeing people enjoy and use the items I make on their pets.
