WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m Adrian Eason and I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia- I’ve been here my whole life! I am a hand lettering artist and create signs for events as well as Christmas ornaments and everyday gifts. I have also expanded this year to offer laser-cut and engraved items.

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
I started out with chalkboard signs for my own wedding almost 6 years ago. People slowly began asking for custom work and I decided to keep creating. My favorite item to make has been wood slice ornaments, which are always a big seller. I paint wood slices (usually black) and add phrases, designs, or family names. I then add the designs with paint pens. My newest adventure with laser-made items is to create the design digitally, then cut or engrave it to bring my ideas to life. It is so fun and I love helping people decorate their homes or celebrate special events!

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My husband. He has experience in graphic design and was the first one to push me and give me ideas to turn my lettering into a business. He is my biggest supporter.

FUN FACT ABOUT YOU.
I started ballroom dancing at age 10 and it’s where I met my husband!

FAVORITE THING ABOUT DOWNTOWN AUGUSTA.
The food! Whiskey Bar and Frog Hollow are some of my favorite restaurants.

WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
It is so special to me that people have trusted me with decor for their weddings, childrens’ birthdays, and other important moments in life as well as everyday home decor. I truly believe in small business and feel so blessed that I have the ability to run one.

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD SHARE WITH OTHER ARTISTS + MAKERS?
Don’t sell yourself short! I struggle daily with confidence in my products, but you have to take a leap of faith and do it even when you’re scared
