Jasmine Ryans, creator and founder of Soul(tre), a certified pharmacy technician and certified essential oil coach. Born and raised in Augusta, GA. I work as a full-time entrepreneur formulating and creating health and beauty products that are plant-based, toxin-free and cruelty-free using exotic butters and oils

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS?
First, I research different plant-based ingredients and study their benefits for the hair, skin and body. After finding ingredients that provide the benefits and results I am looking for for a particular product, I create a formula. I source my top 2 vendors for my supplies and ingredients in different categories ( i.e butters, oils, containers, etc.) and order my supplies. I create the products by hand in my home lab and test the formulation for 3-12 months (depending on the ingredients used). I beta test the products on early adopters, get feedback. When I find the products that my ideal clients like, I create small batches of the product weekly, package products, market and sell!

The countless stories I hear everyday of ordinary individuals, like me, who have defied all odds and walked out in faith and trusted God to pursue their purpose and have turned what were merely dreams and thoughts, into their reality and helping others do the same.

WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
I believe that things that are created by hand allow people the ability to share parts of their soul through non-living objects, giving homemade products that special and personal feel that you can’t get from machine-made products. You can feel the love when it’s homemade.

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD SHARE WITH OTHER ARTISTS + MAKERS?
Your gifts will make room for you. Continue to follow your passion, always be willing to learn and whatever you do, make sure you love what you do. There will be trying moments, but you have to remember what you are doing it for and know that your purpose for creating is more than just for profit, but to have a positive and lasting impact on others and helping others through your gifts.
