WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m Parker! I’m a 12 year old soap maker in Evans, GA. My company is The Soap Kid, LLC, and I’ve been making soap since September 2019. I not only make soap, but also lip gloss, candles, wax melts, and more! I love basketball, video games, swimming, and hanging out with my friends.

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
I make my soaps using the melt and pour method. I cut my base, melt it down, add color and/fragrance, pour it into the mold, and let it set. Once it’s set, I give to my mom to package! Lol

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My customers! They help me to keep going and making soap and other products. When someone believes in my ability to create a soap for their event, it makes me happy because I’m a kid.

FUN FACT ABOUT YOU.
I love basketball! My goal is to play college basketball and then professional!

FAVORITE THING ABOUT DOWNTOWN AUGUSTA.
I really like to go downtown and eat with my family. Farmhaus is my favorite place when I want a burger… they are the best!! I also like all of the colorful art!

WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
I like to make different soaps because you can create whatever you want, and also custom make what customers want. I like to see the look on my customers faces when they get their order and it’s exactly what they wanted, or sometimes better than they imagined.

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD SHARE WITH OTHER ARTISTS + MAKERS?
Don’t question your work and products… even if someone else is doing the same thing!
