Meet the Artist:
WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m an artist and art teacher in Augusta. I teach Prek – 4th grade art and make floral paintings.
DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
I usually paint florals with a combination acrylics, gouache, oil crayon, and colored pencil on paper and wood panels.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Nature, flowers, and my students.
FUN FACT ABOUT YOU.
I have 4 siblings and we all live in Augusta.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT DOWNTOWN AUGUSTA.
The artsy places to stop into like Art on Broad and the Westobou Gallery. And Nacho Mamas has been a forever favorite but I love all of the newer restaurants too!
WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
I have always loved making. Some days it feels like therapy, others it’s with purpose and intention
WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD SHARE WITH OTHER ARTISTS + MAKERS?
That have much I make comes in waves in different seasons. To not put so much pressure on yourself where it is no longer fun.
