We’re Brianne Diermeier & Danielle Harmadi – sisters, friends and business partners! We own Freshwater Design Co. which is an online home decor & accessories shop where we crafted burned-by-hand leather & wood goods for modern every day style.

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
Since we’re a graphic designer / pyrography artist duo, we each have a hand in making our products come to life. Once we have a product built that we love, Brianne will design what is to be burned onto the item. Then Danielle will either draw onto the wood or deboss into leather and then burn over the design with a very hot pyrography tool. Once all the little touches are added, we have a finished product!

Our work is greatly inspired by our travels, our every day surroundings, pop culture and just all things pretty and witty.

WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
Freshwater pushes us creatively to not only create pretty pieces of art, but also useful products that can be used every day. We want to take this old school of an art form of wood burning and modernize it to create fresh, beautiful and useful products.

Keep evolving. Try new things, new techniques, new inspirations. Just keep making!
